what category do i use for this useless bs? it is currently 3:43 in the morning my eyes are burning and i want water and gummy bears, but im too lazy to go downstairs.
is the pain and fear of missing out worth the hypothetical idea of achieving ones materialstic dreams?
is a hedonistic, id-driven(terminology of the psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud) lifestyle really that much worse as an stoic, superego; goal driven way of life? is it worth it, sacrificing basic human decency to go after the lust that is so deeply rooted not only in the human, but also in the "sex, drugs and money" lifestyle found in our generation, where the misinterpretation of love seems merely one swipe away, whilst in reality being nothing than another dopamine rush induced action to still the need for constant gratification in such a egotistical world.
Maybe it is better. Does the little time we have really not speak for itself? Why waste time not doing the things we crave, why not eat another pint of incredibly tasty and overly expensive ben and jerrys ice cream. Why? Honestly, in my experience, as a person who might consider themselves as their greatest critic alive, as someone who prides themselves in their ability to self reflect and have self awareness to a maybe self destructive degree (a topic for another blog maybe??) , i can say that the regret of living such a drive-centred life outweighs the short term dopamine. I was before, in a position to fall into lust, but choose not to, because i never wanted to be in the position to have guilt over the egotistical actions following the stimulation of my own needs and desires such as for example a "thing for a night" ifywim.
so, what do we conclude from this?
It is now 4:10, I feel like i missed out on teenage love and i still want gummy bears.
(In case you read all this. I appreciate you! thank you! My first blog got 6 kudos that means atleast 3 people listend to my silly antics and terribly pretentious writing, which i think is amazing!)
Bye!
