I've recently started reading Lolita. It genuinely fascinates me but also disgusts me, lolita is such an interesting book. I have watched the movie adaptation, own a copy of the book, and have watched many video essays. The movies depicted Humbert Humbert's lolita as how he saw them but never what they really were, little girls. To him Dolores Haze was never Dolores Haze, she was Lolita, a nymphet, a temptress, and nothing else. Humbert Humbert is a disgusting man and an unreliable narrator. Dolores goes through so much both in the book and in the movies. She's only a little girl but went through so much because of Humbert Humbert. I would love to see her point of view through all of this and not the point of view of a pedophile.
