okay so im about to talk about my favourite anime. I watched this 11 years ago and I wish I could erase my memory to watch it again. the tension chase between light and L which starts of as justice - mind you from both side because at the end of the day light thought what he was doing was a sense of justice to the world, his morals can be questioned but he believed what he was doing was right. the foundations were based on his god complex and what HE was doing was right. the greatest villan. (he's justified lol). while L actually works for the government so that's where his morals lie. though in the same way he lost way and was so determined in winning the fight with him and light. I fuck with L heavy, his mind is insane how tf does he do it?  anyway so I was saying started off as justice and progressed slowly but intensely to obsession and I wanna say bordering a sexual/romantic dynamic in a really fucked way. ill touch on this slightly by saying the power trip between the two actually attracted each other because they are the same person and that's what fuelled the chase. I love the role the shinigamis played.  Ryuk is a real ass nigga. wish I had one in real life so I could just talk to 24s. even though, they slightly demonised through the art style + visuals, rem (misa shinigami) showed about the most empathy and care towards misa. kind of how it feels to be alternative. meanwhile light treated misa like shit and only for his gain and misa was so in love and infatuated with him . kno that feeling too well.  I absolutely love misa, im heavily influenced by her fashion style and she just puts that shit on and she's just so like me. I would say this is my number one anime because it opened the wanders to the fantasy and at the same time realness that anime has and its just fucking good. shout out to platon who put me on in year 7.
