i much prefer older cameras over newer ones, they just have much more personality. like yeah sure they're significantly less versatile generally and they're more prone to strange issues, but i feel the flaws that come with something like an older digicam (low image quality and artifacting most notably) really just add to the charm and more than make up for everything they lack. also i dont mean to equate low image quality with low quality in general, a lot of older cameras have shit quality pictures but are actually very high quality cameras. also tbf i've never had a genuinely really nice camera so im probably just biased but whatevz. another thing i really like is that under the right circumstances you can take that would otherwise not really be possible to achieve naturally (granted this is a much more egregious example of a camera freaking the fuck out and doing something crazy). overall i think i just really love all the flaws that come with older cameras.

Unrelated but do you like DVD camcorders?
i mean they seem sick, never owned one though. actually been looking into buying one recently.

I've gotta agree whole heartedly! We own an old Samsung Camera that practically screams everytime you zoom in and out. But I have the most fun capturing little moments on it! I think it's the imperfect physicality of it!
