i love art. i think it's a testament of how much we can create and give meanings to things that have none. humans for milleniums have created things with no apparent meanings or ones who are too abstract for us cotemporary humans to understand. it's maybe one of the most distinctive feature of us Homo Sapiens Sapiens

i'd define art as something of any medium made with and by the heart of the one who created it. it can have a meaning that is very personal , or be very expressive, or subtle in the way it want to communicate things. Art is from the heart , it's meant to be pure , raw.

People tend to hate abstract art. because sometimes , it is absurd. too absurd for them. "a banana on a wall ? and it sold for millions !? stupid" yes it kinda is , but it's the point. it pushes the perception of what makes art and pushes us to actually thinks of why this wouldn't be art. i don't want to say that people are lazy , but that the already existing social consensus is that it's stupid so people just hate on it without really thinking about it.

people also don't know that most paintings are used for fiscal optimisation , sold at exhorbitant price to get auctioned in states that do not taxe the money from auctions, so they don't have to pay taxes. that's why stupid art get sold at ridiculous price. well , it depend on what you call stupid. it also make me think about the current art industry be it in Videogames , music , movies , etc. all for profit. videogames alone represent a colossal amount of money , and shareholders know that. they push the publications of games that are not finished and have no passion put into them. dead games that finish off their live in a deafening silence. music made to be played in radios that sound like it has no soul because it wan't made to have one. movies that are remasters of rewriten of remasters , in live action that kill all for of imagination. and let's not get into AI... i still can't belive that people fall for AI generated images but think the earth is flat.
