i think the style is super cute, esp the makeup and frills, but i feel like theres little room for adding ur own personal touch to it idk it feels very strict, i saw this post on twt and it said “2025 jirai outfit cus people dont do research anymore” and it was like a random pink blouse, a frilly black skirt with a stretchy waistband and pink maryjanes, and i started thinking abt how little wiggle room there is in the style and i cant decide wether or not i think thats a good or bad thing
ofc i know there are different silhouettes and types of main pieces in jirai like oversized shirts and high waisted skirts, and maybe i just havnt seen enough pics of different outfits, but its always the same color palettes and sometimes you cant even tell the outfits appart bc of the rules you have to follow
also its a super brand associated style which can contribute to fast fashion and micro trends within the style but thats a whole different problem
(some rules include having to have blunt bangs, same makeup style, no dupes when it comes to the clothes/accessories and wearing platform shoes)
in conclusion i think its a super cute style and honestly i wouldnt mind owning a few pieces from lis liza or dear my love but i wish some of the rules would not be as strict, it reminds me of the early days of lolita when ita was a huge thing

its a subculture, subcultures have rules, like lolita for example
if you want to wear the clothes without participating in the
subculture itself then you can't call yourself jirai. your outfits
are simply inspired by jirai, rather than you being jirai yourself
in that case
yeah i agree 100% but i feel like some go too far and instead of educating others they just go straight to bullying and gatekeeping, which i know is a problem for manyyy subcultures but the strict rules surrounding the fashion makes it more prominent in jirai from what i have seen

If you look up ppl who are currently into ryousangata I think that gives inspiration to alternative outfits that still fit within the jirai look !! I def agree that at first there's like 1-2 set outfits with not much space for individuality but once you get into it I think it rly loosens up !
Either way, for me Jirai is more of a lifestyle/culture substyle so I don't take the whiny style police to heart
yeah! thank you for the rec to look up ryousangata people for different looks^^
