A reissuing of the 80's output of an indefensibly unknown Venezuelan sound artist and digital musician. One way to interpret this pretty and playful album is as a non-verbal diary of someone who, having grown weary of a mundane and perennially disappointing corporeal reality, walked into a Fiona Rae painting like an encompassing kudzu and never looked back.

Standout track: PBK - Boiling Underneath

Eclectic and thoroughly scary compilation from the same label that featured the Scarlet Diva record I included in update #9 of this blog, that being Tribe Tapes. Originally released as a charity record to fund anti-racism activism in North Carolina. It's nice to see this particular scene, with it's fixation on abject imagery and utterly loathsome aspects of human nature, demonstrate it has a human side too :3

An emotional maelstrom of a post-hardcore album. Any of you scene kids remember the amazing but tragically short-lived metalcore/melodic hardcore group Crydebris? Cassus' album here comes tantalizingly close to that bands head and heart storming The Severing EP. There are also very welcome touches of Modern Life Is War in this records tightly-knit yet sincerely-organic songwriting. The band's singer also happens to be a Spacehey member, and a pretty lovely lad to boot :D Give him an add if it so pleases you.
