Finals!!<3 (｡•́︿•̀｡)

I'm coming up on my last assignment for school and I need to create my own outfit as well as provide accessories and document making every part of the outfit, including taking front and back full body pictures, providing my measurements and listing what materials I used.

I originally wanted to make a renaissance style costume dress, and I figured I would get points for complexity since it requires being laced up and using several sewing techniques but the more I think about it the more I really just want to sew a lolita dress. I've sewn skirts before, but a dress would be something new. There are plenty of free patterns online with pdfs to the patterns however I'm worried about losing points if it's not complex enough. I already bought the fabrics, and I have a pattern in mind, but I need lace to make it look more appealing and I'll most likely make a bag and head dress as well. I'm hoping to get started within the next week or two and finished well before the end of the month!

I have about 4 yards of a red polyester fabric, 3 yards of a pink polyester fabric and some plain cream / off white cloth that I was gonna use to make a chemise but could use for a petticoat. Hoping everything goes well!!
