MY SUPERMAN COSPLAY ADVENTURE!

As my first blog post here, I would like to start of with a good hobby of mine!

As of the past year, I have made my own version of a superman cosplay. Frankley to say, I'm not very proud of this suit. The sewing pattern is all to crap, poorly hemmed, and not even sewn correctly or properly. it looks good on the outside, sure, but the inside feels and looks uncomfortable. Superman-Classic-Cosplay

So as of now, I am going back to the basics. I want to make a tried and true superman suit from the golden age of 1938. His suit back then looked to be more of a comfy sweater and leggings, with wrestling boots, a gold belt and red strongman trunks, and a cloth red cape. His symbol resembling that of a old police badge and a simplistic red S. I want my suit to feel as if my own mother sewed it for me, Like Martha Kent.

I love the style of the Late 1930's Superman, because as of right now, it feels as if I AM in my golden age of 21. Therefore, a golden age suit would be poetic. As i get older, then I would settle for the classic suit, then eventually the Kingdom Come suit from Alex Ross. Which is how I wanna make these suits, due to how mythical and stoic he make Superman feel. s-l1200

As of now, I have the simplistic symbol sown together, and i absolutely love it. If only i had an embroidery machine to lake a larger applique! As soon as I save up enough money, I will be able to put together the base suit, then the trunks, then the cape. Then I will have to make a yellow faux leather belt with a circular buckle, then buy some old red wrestling boots for those 'old boots' feel. 20250107-034411

I hope to be able to post more updates on the suit and how it will go, and I will even make videos on how to put together a Superman Cosplay on my YouTube channel! I hope to see you all there in the future!
