Possibly TW: Mentions of child sickness/mistreatment, drugs, and illness
I was observing two characters on a bus, an asian man in a red shirt and Dr House from House (weird I know, but it'll make sense). House was telling the other man about an illness that was common in the 1940s-70s called MCMM/MCMA. He suspected himself and everyone on the bus of having it. I didn't find out what the specific symptoms were though apart from generic stuff like 'nausea, headache, dizziness, ect'.
Next thing I knew I was a slightly older version of myself at a train station and there was a voiceover explaining what MCMM/MCMA's history was. Apparently it was an illness only affecting women and it was treated by soaking affected young girls drawings in medicine and placing cut up tabs of it on the patients tongues (like doing acid). This didn't work, but officials refused to change their ways despite most people knowing how ineffective (and even lethal) the process was/is. As my train came, I boarded. The voice continued to explain that if a woman with MCMM/MCMA happens to have a child, the child (if female) has a 30% chance of having the illness as well. If the child is cleared of it however, they will remove the child from the mother, forever. As I sat in my seat, a young girl was given to me as her mother cried a few seats away from me. Medicine tabs were placed in my jacket pockets, 'just in case'.
I then switched to another perspective, one of a very young girl in pastel pink pjs getting off the train with her older sister and father. Her father looked at the electronic train station sign which had an alert of a MCMM/MCMA breakout among girls. He sighed, took the young girls hand, and walked her under the train station tunnel (along with the sister). When they came out of the tunnel, there was a massive hospital, taller than it was wide. It was poorly constructed and uneven with a large section on the right-hand side painted entirely pastel pink. The girl held up a piece of paper that read her name, I forgot her exact name but it was long, looked spanish, and abbreviated to M.C.M.A. Patients wearing all sorts of differently coloured crochet gowns were coming out of the hospital, all happy. A nurse in all white stopped the girl and her family and asked what she needed help with, the little girl just said 'I'm pink'. The nurse assured her that she wasn't before taking a closer look, going quiet, and escorting her family inside the hospital.
