retiring my "yeti-ish" theme

i'm going to be retiring my "yeti-ish" theme i've had for a while. it was fun using it, and fun trying to make it, but i want to move onto using a different design! for a bit now i've been keen on trying to use/modify the theme antix has been using. i was trying to put my finger on what it was reminding me of, and just recently i found some themes for KDE (see below) that are very reminiscent of Steam's GUI c. 2003.

not that i ever got to use Steam during that time, but these days i find myself returning to the Windows 9x era of design because (among of slew of other reasons) it's getting harder for me to distinguish UI elements, and i feel like i want my profile to stand out a touch from all the other profiles on here that use the 9x style UI. a girl deserves a splash of color, you know? i guess it also might have something to do with my revival-fascination-hyperfixation on hypnospace outlaw, too

so yeah this blog post essentially serves as a way for me to archive this theme. below are those KDE themes i mentioned earlier, essentially how i'm theming my actual desktop right now.

Steam-related KDE Themes

"Steamed", a Plasma Style theme
"Steamed", a color scheme for Plasma (yes these two use the same name despite being different things uploaded by what i think might be different people)
"Steamed", a window decoration theme for Plasma
"SE98", an icon set theme for many different environments.
"HypnOS Cursor", a set of... cursor icons for many different environments.

i'm aware the odd-one-out there is the cursor. whoogivvafuck. i want to use the 9x "3D" cursors that came bundled with varying Service Packs or whateverthey'recalled, but there's very few on Pling that are actually what i'm looking for, and the ones that look correct... don't actually work. i'm going back and forth between the HypnOS style cursors and the default 9x white classic cursors, but i'm going to put the HypnOS ones up here since you can easily find the 9x ones like, everywhere.
