Birds I see near my house

This is a list of birds I see either in the frontyard at home or somewhere near the house in the neighborhood. For those who don't know, I live in Brazil.

The photos were not taken by me btw; they're just there for illustrative purposes cause there's no way I'd be able to take good photos of them with my phone camera lol.

Ruddy-ground dove - Some kind of columbina. They're everywhere. We commonly call them "rolinhas" in Portuguese. I'll sometimes also hear the nostalgic call of the mourning dove. Don't you just love it?

Banabaquit - They're also everywhere. It's so cute when they get in groups and start chirping together flitting from branch to branch. In my region we call them "cambacica".

Blue-chinned saphire: Probably the most common hummingbird we see around here. This particular species is called "beija-flor-de-gargante-azul", which translates to "blue-necked hummingbird".

Great Kiskadee - They kinda look like bananaquits, but they're bigger and have a thicker straight beak. Their calling is well-famed here and is responsible for giving its name here as "Bem-te-vi".

Saffron Finch - Commonly called "canário-da-terra" here, which we consider a type of canary. Very cute, but hard to get them to come to your frontyard. It finally did though!

Passer - A kind of sparrow. I don't know what this species is called though. They're all so similar!

White-eyed parakeet - It seems like their most common name is "periquitão-maracanã", but we call them "maritacas" where I live. There's a flock of them that keeps squawking in the trees behind my house and it gets lound sometimes.

Squirrel cuckoo - I only saw this absolute unit once, but it's so beautiful and mystical-looking with its bright red eyes and long variegated tail. We call them "alma-de-gato" here, which literally translates to "cat's soul". There's a folk legend that says when you hear the squirrel cuckoo's call, it means someone nearby is going to die soon.

Well, those are the birds I remember off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's more. There's also some hawk that sometimes perches on top of houses nearby looking for prey, but I never got a close enough look to tell its species. Sometimes you'll also see black vultures circling in the sky.
