Some additional, necessary context: I use soulseek, a peer to peer
platform that is meant for music self promotion, but ends up just
getting used for piracy. (basically: it's music piracy. not like spotify
though, like literally the music, not just playing it over wifi)
In
that place, you have the option to write a bio as long as you want, and
at the end of mine I put my SpaceHey url. I always wonder how many
people have actually added me there, rather than just finding me on a
blog/bulletin comment or through a fellow friend. Most of the time
people browse online users and such. Some people browse recent blogs (hey! hey you! yeah, I see you!) to
find people to add or talk with.
But there's also that small
percent of people who come from elsewhere. Say, another site.
RateYourMusic counts, sure, but like... How many people have added me
after coming from Soulseek? Like actually?

Wondering what % of my new friend requests are from soulseek users (blog mirror)
