I feel like no matter how much media or anti bullying comes out NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE!! and, I know it's hard to be socially conscious. You don't have to be Gandhi for me to consider you a good person, and it's okay if you slip up. For example using "acoustic" to describe an autistic person that's kind of, and asshole move, you're not an asshole for not knowing cause not a lot of people realize it's an offensive thing to do (i've done it before). same with using the R slur, this stuff is very normalized nowadays so I understand it's easy to slip up. It's really easy to be the best version of you though if you just try, as long as you're trying to be open to learning new things, and think about your actions when someone tells you that you're wrong, you are a good person, in fact you're a great person. this gets my point across, but if you want there's more info if you want to keep reading.
Another thing you can do is simply realize that embarrassment and cringe are not natural emotions, these emotions were made by social constructs to turn us into robots. if you have ever judged someone for existing and also claim to hate society, then you are a hypocrite, cause you are society. it's also good to view things from a different perspective. what I like to do whenever I feel conflicted is realize that you and I are dumb stupid idiotic cavemen and we should think like them. this logic might sound flawwed cause cavemen raped and killed and they thought it was fine, but you dont have to have the same morals to react emotionally like a caveman. the point i'm trying to make is cavemen did not judge, when they killed they weren't being mean it was just cause it was their nature they didn't care about anything. if a caveman kid wanted to do something strange NO ONE CARED. gay cavemen existed and they just went around and fucked eachother and NO ONE CARED!!!!!!!!. WE ARE STILL CAVEMEN WITH STUPID BRAINS AND STUPID TAILS AND WE WILL ALWAYS BE CAVEMEN, SO WHY THE FUCK DONT WE BEHAVE LIKE CAVEMEN. of course we have to take in account some modern standards cause things change, but my point still stands.
I understand that being a good person can be hard especially when you're around people that aren't good, but as long as you try, you are a good person.
