(there's gotta be) more to life

The concept of a boy & girl friendship is insanely weird. First, it seems that he's hooked onto you because you've got the same sense of humor as him (you like that too) then you fall a little bit too hard and suddenly he's got someone else. And two years later, you see him and he just walks past you and your friends without even saying hi - not knowing that you were tossing and turning at 2am, hoping you'd see him. Half a month later, you confess to him that you actually miss him and he tells you he didn't expect it from you - he thought you hated him the whole damn time. You make small talk about your new school and the stores you've been visiting lately, and the only time when you think of each other is on christmas or the new year's eve. But maybe there are boy & girl friendships that are normal - maybe i'm just not the girl who's suitable for them. You try to keep your eyes on other guys but then the same night, you toss and turn because you realize you and him were literally made for each other and you should've been endgame. And you think of how foolish it is that he still doesn't know you love him dearly.
