Moon lamp???

I had this crazy dream that I was helping someone design a house, and we went in this one room where the only light source was this banana shaped one that was hanging from the ceiling. When I turned on the light, nothing happened, so I thought it just didn't work. I turned around for like one second, and then the ceiling light had started laughing, and it turned into a crescent moon. I woke myself up because it was scary :/

Has anyone ever thought about why we can think within dreams? Isn't the entire dream just you living through your own thoughts?
