I stay hungryΒ
Like a wolf abandoned by it's pack
Searching across the country
Needing something, someone to bring me back
Missing the feeling if how it was
Hold on to the last reminder
Too young to know what it'd cause
Never being blinderΒ
I stay hungry
Avoid the full feeling at all costs
Never will I run free
Eaten away by the frost
Captured by it
Unable to move
Wanting to quit
But something needs to be proved
I stay hungry
For the guilt that consumes me
Every small problem, I am jumpy
Unable to foresee
If I can't eat
Why can the regret?
It's something that isn't beat
It turns people into a silhouette
I stay hungry
Let others go first
Nothing left for me
I can just deal with my thirst
Working like a dog
I live to survive
All there is to do is camouflage
Not living somewhere anyone can thrive
A hungry dog is not vicious to be vicious; it is merely wanting to survive

Damn, this is heavy! I love how the repetition of 'I stay hungry' really drives home the feeling of never being truly satisfied and always striving for something more. That metaphor about the wolf abandoned by its pack is deep, it really speaks to the loneliness and longing for something that's missing. Just wawww

Thank you so much !! Repetition is genuinely one of my favourite things to use as it helps to add emphasis , and also allows the phrase to be explored more πππ
