01.03.25 - games i've played recently #1

just a short blog recording my thoughts and ratings for games i've been playing lately, whether or not they are "new" or not.

ATLYSS || rating: 4.5/5

despite being early access and not having much content at all, i find the gameplay so fun and the character designs so cute that it really doesn't bother me. i find it a lot of fun! i do hope in the future more enemy types get added for more diverse combat, but i still have a lot of fun with what is there. i think the gameplay loop may put some people off but i personally enjoy it a lot since the combat is so fun.

HADES II || rating: 4/5

despite never beating the first hades once (i got it on switch and while it was fun, i always felt i'd prefer it on pc), i decided to get this also early access game. i haven't beat hecate yet, and i'm not sure how much there is out at the moment, but i am having a lot of fun trying to complete runs!

EARTHBOUND || rating: 5/5

i've always been a sucker for quirky RPGs ever since i came across yume nikki and off in my youth. i played the first mother game when i was about 18-19, i had started earthbound shortly after but my save ended up corrupted and i dropped it until recently. i love the sense of humor and design the game has, and of course the soundtrack is great too. i still have yet to make it up to where i ended up in my furthest run, but i definitely look forward to continuing the story myself!
