Hello 2025!

Let's start with some successes from 2024

  • I go to sleep earlier (most nights), and sometimes even wake up before my alarm
  • I eat breakfast and lunch almost every day (though sometimes I might skip one or the other depending on how late it is, and I live next to my grandma, so dinner is given lol)
  • I get some type of moderate exercise almost every day

And a couple things I could do better

  • I drank too much, or maybe exactly the right amount lol. Either way, I think I'll be drinking less this year. I guess my older friends were right (not that I doubted them), it just gets boring and completely uninteresting after a while
  • I dropped the ball on cleaning a bit (mostly because of the drinking), but I started getting it more together towards the end of the year

I guess the main goals for the year would be to

  •  Suck it up and get a shitty part time job just so I have some form of income
  • Force myself to sit down and do that free online certification program
  • Focus only on morning and nighttime routines, at least to start. Plus, I've already, more or less, got those implemented
  • and on a rotating cleaning schedule

No big plans for the year. Just working on it one step at a time. Though I really should put playing less games on my phone up there lol We'll see how it goes

Happy 2025, everyone! <3

These goals are great. They're achievable and measurable. One thing that really helps me achieve my goals is connecting them to my values.

For example:
I want to eat more vegetables this year. While I know this has health benefits, being healthy is a secondary value for me. My primary values are being compassionate and finding truth. By connecting my goal to those values, eating vegetables becomes an exercise in extending my compassion to nature. Learning more about the environmental impacts about my diet becomes an exercise in learning greater truths about the nature of living in a modern society.

I wonder if you have any values or beliefs that align with your goals. Do you think they would help you grow into the type of person you'd like to become?
