Setting Up Your Profile

Setting up your SpaceHey profile can be a daunting task so let me help you through it.

Right above your photo on your profile are two buttons reading "edit name" and "edit photo". 

Edit Name:

Edit name allows you to change your email address, name, username, online status, IM settings, and who can view. 

While the first three are straight forward, the last three can be confusing. When toggled one, online status allows other users on SpaceHey to see if you are currently online or not. The IM settings allow you to change who is allowed to message you. And the who can view your profile changes whether or not your profile details are shown to the public.

Edit Photo:

This just allows you to change or delete your profile photo. It usually takes a few minutes for your photo to update so stay calm if it doesn't look like it's working.

On the top of your profile there is a big 'Edit Your Profile" button when clicked it will bring you to a page that will allow you to customize your blurbs and interests.

Blurbs: 

Blurbs are the little piece of information about you that someone can quickly look at to learn more about you. Blurbs are the "About me" and 'Who I'd like to meet" sections. 

In the "About me" section you should give a brief description of yourself and whatever other information you'd like to put in there. This is also the box where you would put in any html code when adding a layout.

In the "Who I'd like to meet" section you should describe who you would like to talk to and interact with on SpaceHey. You can also put celebrities and people that you would like to physically meet.

Interests:

Interests are things that you're interested in (self explanatory). The topics are general, music, movies, television, books, and games.

On the side of your profile picture or under mood there is an edit button that when clicked on will bring you to where you can edit your status, mood, and you.

Status:

Here you can put what you are currently doing or working on.

Mood:

Here is where you can put how you are currently feeling.

You:

A small little description of yourself that allows other people to know who you are.

Under your interests there is also a box for your links.

Links:

Here is where you are able to put your other social media so that people can follow you there as well. Each link comes with their own instructions.
