why does it feel so cringe to have OCs in an already established world ?!

i love gta 5. its one of my favorite games and ive been obsessed with it for years. like 4 yrs ago i started writing a story with an OC (essentially based on my gta online character) and its so fun and im so happy when i do it!! but sometimes i feel so weeiirdd since its not my world and i didnt create it yknow ??? like to me theres nothing wrong with it but when i have to tell others its my OC and then they ask about them and i have to go uh....its a love triangle between some dudes....and they live in the world of LOS SANTOS GTA
