I’m sorry to all you demon slayer fans but I hate all the (canon) ships.. 

nezuko is 14 and zentisu is 16.. Not to big of an age gap but the maturity level of a 16 and 14 year old is very different. And in nezukos demon form (when she's not fighting) she is very childlike and “UwU innocent bean that can do no harm“ and the fact she can shrink to toddler size makes it weirder.

“Zenitsu was barely around whenever Nezuko is acting like a child” but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s in love with a 14 year old. Nezuko can’t even talk for herself. She’s kept in a box like a dog and treated like a baby by her own brother. I wanna know why she’s treated so differently from the other demons. The other demons are mature or at least can fully talk. Meanwhile, Nezuko literally is treated like a baby and baby talks when she doesn’t have the bamboo muzzle on. Bringing it back to Zenitsu.. he saw that and he was like “hell yeah I’d hit that“. What the fuck- why? she’s acting like a toddler for most of the series and he’s in love with her. 😭😭

I wanna bring up the fact that... WHEN THE MAIN TRIO WAS GOING THROUGH REHABILITATION TRAINING AND ZENITSU GOT JEALOUS OF THEM CUS THEY WERE PLAYING TAG AND “BEING TOUCHED BY GIRLS ALL DAY“ MEANWHILE ITS JUST 3 ELEMENTARY STUDENTS- (the triplets)

SIR UR 16 AND THEYRE LIKE 7. NO WONDER HES IN LOVE WITH A 14 YEAR OLD AT THIS POINT- AND WHEN IT WAS HIS TURN HE WAS LIKE IN BLISS 💀 WTF- 

Mitsuri and iguro is cringe ngl. The way iguro threatens to k-ll tanjiro cus mitsuri and him are making friends isnt cute. I never liked the “im a jerk to everyone, but my girlfriend“ type of character because it just feels so weird and cringe. If you were in a relationship and your partner was just a fucking b1tch everyone else except for you I feel like you wouldn’t want to be with that person anymore. It’s kind of a red flag, dont you think? also, he’s 21 and she is 18 again not that big of an age difference but the maturity level is very different. I also wish he would do something to help her fix her uniform because if he really didn’t want people to sexualize her then I feel like it would be better to help her get a new appropriate uniform instead of only getting her stockings, which won’t protect her at all in battle, but they can’t do that because of fan service. 🙄 

The fabric used to make their uniforms is slash and fire resistant, yet your telling me she's allowed into battle with a SKIRT AND AN OPEN HOLE OVER HER HEART COMPLETELY DEFEATING THE PURPOSE UGH

Istg mitsuri is just used for the male audience 😭like while theyre watching theyll be like “omg no I’d date mitsuri. She likes eating a lot just like me, and has huge tits but she’s also super innocent. She’s the perfect woman” the fact that she’s just barely legal makes it really fucking weird, but that happens in a lot of anime, unfortunately.. 

Tanjiro and Kanao felt very rushed. despite Kanao being Tanjiro’s love interest they barely interact-  they did at the start of season 3 and the last long interaction was season 1. They barely know anything about each other (in the anime at least) but the viewer is supposed to believe that Kanao, a distant quiet girl that doesnt care for many people besides her sisters, develops a crush on tanjiro within seconds just because he tries to help her w/ decision making? 😭

Inosuke and Aoi also felt very rushed and very random- 

Shinobu and Giyuu both have terrible mental problems that they need to work with so I don’t think either of them would be compatible in any type of relationship. 💀 sure u guys can care about each others well being but maybe fix ur terrible attitudes before trynna date- neither of you have the good enough mental health to be in each other’s mental support let alone your own mental support 😭

Sanemi and that other girl (idk her name😭) isnt smth i really care about cus the girl is dead most of the series. But again i hate the “im a jerk to everyone, but my girlfriend“ cus its just weird- 

and then Tengen and his three wives is really weird because one of them is his distant COUSIN and just because their distant doesn’t mean that it’s not any less weird because either way you’re still COUSINS.

 I SAW A YOUTUBE SHORT ABOUT IT AND A COMMENT THAT WAS LIKE “erm, actually theyre distant cousins so theyre barely related to each other. Its not that bad ☝️🤓“

Wtf do you not understand about the word COUSIN. COUSIN IS FAMILY, IF YOURE IF FAMILY THEN YOURE RELATED. IF RELATED THEN DO NOT TOUCH NO NO SQUARE.

I understand that Tegan and his wife’s were arranged marriages so they couldn’t really do anything to stop getting married to each other, but this isn’t about the arranged marriages. The author had to distinctly make the decision to have him and his wife to be distant cousins, they could’ve just made them Strangers at first who learned to love each other throughout their marriage, but for some reason, the author just had to be perverted and “accurate” to the time the story takes place in, which I don’t really see the point of- it’s just really weird. What does them being cousins add to the story? It’s never even mentioned in the anime so what is the point of adding that small detail to the characters? 😭

HE’S 23 AND ONE OF HIS WIVES IS 18 I BELIEVE- FOR THE THIRD TIME THE AGE DIFFERENCE IS NOT THAT BIG BUT THE MENTAL MATURITY IS VERY DIFFERENT

I know polygamy was a thing back then it still is now, however, with all the other relationships that I’ve seen in this anime, I can tell that it’s purely for fan service and for dudes that watch the anime to get a boner about because they think that they too could also have three wives that love them as much as Tengen’s wives love him.

I also know things like age gaps were normal (and much bigger than the ones in the show) back when Demon slayer takes place, but just because it was normal back then doesn’t mean we should have it in today’s media because that is just ignoring the norms we have today and in a way it makes it seem like it’s okay to pursue relationships with a weird age difference.

Sorry for the long ass post. I’m not good at explaining myself if any of this confused you or you want me to explain more, you can ask and I’ll definitely go into more detail :P

I’d also love to read your opinions on the ships. just keep it respectful please 🙏 there’s no need to be rude or get angry just because I “insulted” your favorite anime or whatever cause what I was doing was just simply expressing my opinion and pointing out some of the weird parts of the relationships between these characters x_X
