before I start, I want to say that my piercings aren't just about aesthetics-- they've been a journey of self-expression and personal meaning. each piercing reflects a piece of my story; symbolizing moments, emotions, or connections that have shaped who I am. they're not just ornaments; they're milestones etched into metal and memory.
anyways, here they are!
- I have ten piercings total, and i'm still healing around two of them.
- I pierced all of my lobes myself as well as my helix :)
- I would totally get a job piercing if I didn't need an education.. i've pierced like 7 of my friends
I've thought about facial piercings before, but then again i'd only do what my parents are comfortable with. I'd love to hear about your piercing stories!

I can’t believe you did that all on your own! Thats super cool!! When my aunt was a kid she pierced both of her ears 9 times in the middle of the night with a needle and an ice cube. I’m fine with needles but I don’t think I could ever have the courage to pierce my own ears.

I pierced my own lip at home 2x (one on each side of my lower lip) back in October 2022 at the age of 16. No ice cubes or anything, just pure bravery and endurance as I shoved each hollow 14G needle through my lip from the outside in right where I had marked the spot with a marker. My snakebites were my 12th and 13th piercings (I currently have 14 total, 5 holes on each ear going from lobe to lower helix on both ears, my right nostril, my snakebites, and now my belly button).
Fast forward to the next day, for some reason, I (foolishly) decided to brag to my mother about what I had done in the bathroom to myself the previous night while she was asleep (at the time, she would use the braces I had at the time as a stupid excuse for not letting me get my snakebites done, leading to me taking matters into my own hands and doing it myself in the first place) and she was shocked that I actually had the nerve to take a needle and shove it through my own lip twice (though she didn't seem to question the swollen lip I had until the moment I told her about the piercings I had given myself and excitedly showed off to all of my friends at school).

So not only did I pierce my own lip at home, but I also had my lip pierced and braces at the same time for a few months (I was finally debonded in May 2023 after getting my phase 2 lower braces on Halloween 2019 and upper braces in January 2020, in case you were wondering). My orthodontist didn't even seem to mind the fact that I had my lip pierced during the last few months I had my braces, funnily enough (although I did have to change my metal spikes out for clear plastic piercing retainers for my debonding appointment since I had to get a final panoramic x-ray done right after the braces were removed as my orthodontist was making the retainers).
Oh, and I would also eat whole, uncut apples (the one and only thing that I had actually avoided eating with braces for a while) sometimes around late 2022 and early 2023 just to really prove my point, becoming the monster who would eat whole apples at the same time she had both braces and 2 awesome lip piercings. >:)
