Incident Report (cont.):

TOP SECRET CLEARANCE ONLY!

- START OF TAPE 2 -

[OD]: " Alright, Sergeant Major - why don't you start from when you and your men entered the Specimen's observation room? "

SGM Rollins: " Right -- Well, after you left to take your call my men and I moved into position to secure, contain, and then move the Creature to its holding cell as instructed. We were able to secure and restrain the creature, but then -- "

* The faint sound of a deep sigh can be heard. *

SGM Rollins: " -- something happened and suddenly two of my men were restrained together on the ground. They were both....disoriented - almost seemed drunk by the looks of it - and the creature was gone. "

[OD]: " Something...happened? Did you...see what happened? Did you see anything? "

SGM Rollins: " No...at least, I do not believe so, Doc. It was almost as though - damn - I was like I was looking directly at the creature - it's arms in my hands firmly as I and Sergeant Kidd started to lead it out the door - and then suddenly it was gone. Like I blinked and it blinked out of existance in the milliseconds my eyes were closed. Kidd was confused too although he - bless his soul I still need to call his wife -- "

[OD]: " We'll make sure that his family is notified of his passing and duties today, Sergeant Major. I assure you. "

* Another deep breath is heard, this time closer to the drag of a cigarette. *

SGM Rollins: " I appreciate that, Doc, especially with this whole 'memory wipin' business. Anyways - as I was sayin' - Kidd went to check the hallway to make sure that the creature didn't make it far. I was busy waking up and disconnecting the rest of my men when I heard Kidd scream from the end of the hallway. I -- oh God -- I went to check on him and....there was just so much blood...........I couldn't - I wouldn't - "

* Another shuddering breath emits from SGM Rollins. *

SGM Rollins: " -- I wouldn't leave my team to check on Kidd. I saw the amount of blood. I knew he was gone. I activated Emergency Protocol RVNDQVBF for the area to prevent it from getting further, but I was too late. It had nabbed Kidd's ID and Security Badge and was making its way through the building by the time I managed to lock down the hallway we were in...which was strange to me....especially with where we found it.... "

[OD]: " I'm sorry - I'm not following. What was strange, Sergeant Major? You just said the Specimen had Kidd's ID and badge - us finding it in building 13's mess hall seems appropriate with the clearance it had. "

SGM Rollins: " Yeah....if you were Kidd - or looked like him.... "

[OD]: " I'm sorry....'looked like him'? "

SGM Rollins: " Yessir - The locks to get out of his portion of the building requires - whaddya call them - 'bio-meter scanning' to get in and out of restrictive areas. "

[OD]: " 'Bio-metric' scanning, Sergeant Major, bio-metric. It is still quite new, so I understand the confusion on the nomenclature. "

SGM Rollins: " Uh - sure - bio-metric scannin'. Anyways - by the time my back up had arrived, I had sent CPL Bonia and CPL Michaels to check on the condition of what was left of Kidd. They, uh -- well -- didn't have much to report back on is all I will say. With the back up team there and the Investigation squad on their way to the hallway; Bonia, Michaels, and I thought it would be best to take half the back up and start moving through the building to locate and retrieve the creature. We made through the the doors and into the main building where we heard screaming and ripping coming from down the hallway to our right. "

[OD]: " In the direction of the mess hall.... "

SGM Rollins: " Yes. We - uh - moved down as a unit. I kept my eyes forward - my brain still stuck in that damn observation room - I didn't even notice that the rest of my team had moved positions to surround me as I didn't even notice the people fleeing from the mess hall...from the carnage. They were fielding them around us - telling them where to go for safety...but there was no safe place for them to go. That....thing.....that monster -- it would pop in and out almost on cue, snatching people and disappearing. I'm not going to lie, Doc -- I was there at Normandy. I stormed the beaches with my fellow American - but this thing - this thing brought a fear out in me that I haven't felt since I was a kid. I wasn't sure if it could hear me, would take me, would take anymore of my men-- "

* There's the sound sound of a chair moving against the floor and some footsteps. Another long cigarette drag is heard as SGM Rollins can be heard banging his fist lightly against a window. *

SGM Rollins: " We made it into the mess hall and to say that this creature took the name to heart would be an understatement. It was -- madness, chaos. Body parts were scattered everywhere as well as bodies - some people were even still alive, screaming the whole time. And the blood...the floor might as well've been a pool of the sticky shit - I remember the feeling of stepping in and hearing the sickening slicking sound of my boots against the floor. My men get set up into defensive positions, their weapons drawn. I stay in the middle - moving towards the fucked up nest of blood and viscera that it had made atop a pile of tables. "

[OD]: " Was the Specimen there? In the nest? "

SGM Rollins: " No - at least not yet. I moved to get a closer look at the home from hell when it appeared in front of me again. I stared it down - not breaking. I wanted it to look me in the eyes if it was going to kill me. But it didn't....it just - stared back. After - what felt like an eternity - I felt finger start to squeeze around the trigger when I -- Doc I gotta say this is the strangest thing -- but I swear on the Holy Bible that I heard it say 'No.' to me - in Kidd's voice. And then - the world went black. I woke up to the medical team rolling me out on a gurney - my right leg broken in three places and my eye -- well, it's a good thing it left my dominant. "

[OD]: " Fascinating, Sergeant Major, just fascinating!! You witnessed it travelling through space and time in the blink of an eye and even had it speak to you?! This is incredible! We have yet to establish contact between the Specimen and anyone else here - which means the Specimen has bonded to you for-- "

SGM Rollins: " Well, I have no interest in whatever 'bond' there is. And I don't much care for your takin' light of my team and my losses. Those combatants could've from anywhere and now we have to lock down the whole facility in order to figure out where they came from and where they took the rest of my team. "

[OD]: " Sergeant Major...your team is-- "

SGM Rollins: " Is what? Did they find them? I knew those chicken shit fascists wouldn't be able to handle them. Kidd especially - he was the toughest of them all. "

[OD]: " They're....still missing. We haven't heard anything, but you're right. We'll find them. Until then, we're all done here. Why don't you follow my collegues down do the medical wing? I do believe that the Medical Team still needs to check out your brain for any damage caused by the concussives that were used to incapacitate the rest of your team. "

* The sounds of multiple chairs moving against the ground as the sounds of footsteps and an open door can be heard. *

SGM Rollins: " Oh, Doc - when you find out what happened to my team, could ya let me know first? I'd - well - I'd like to be the one to notify the families if at all possible. "

[OD]: " I promise, Sergeant Major. You'll be the first to know. "

SGM Rollins: " Thank you, Doc. Godspeed. "
