Ramblin' about movies n junk

Sooo my internet went out a couple of days ago. Not the first time that's happened, our router is a little old and likes to play bullshit pranks sometimes. Plus I have a small collection of dvd's and some records/cds so it wasn't like I'd die of boredom in the throes of no youtube lol
I considered just watching some of the Dr. Who dvds I have but decided against it because there are some dvds I own but haven't watched yet- most of which are secondhand from my aunt.
This is a not-very-in-depth-review of all the movies I watched :))
The Aunt Movies
Better Off Dead- weird comedy film where a guy is depressed over getting dumped and contemplates suicide but gets shown the brighter side of life by a foreign exchange student living next door to him. would give it a 6/10. nothing against it, but nothing to rave over in either direction

Blade Runner- specifically the director's cut >:3 Honestly surprised I've never seen this one yet. It was pretty good! I already have a pretty favorable bias toward sci-fi, again I'm surprised I hadn't seen it before. I'm curious if I'd like the book, Ik there were some reasonable changes in the book to the movie (there's no sheep!!! lol) but I am not a huge reader. Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep sounds so fucking cool and intersting just as a phrase tho. I'd give it an 8.5/10

Stranger Than Fiction- A guy starts to hear a narrator in his head and begins to realize he's the main character in a book. I don't know how to feel abt this one. First of all, a lot of very famous actors starred in it- but I think I'd react very differently in that situation than the main character. It wasn't bad per se but it was mehh?? 5/10. I'm more likely to rewatch better of dead so I gotta give this a lower rating

Not from my aunt
Fire Walk With Me- okay so I first watched Twin Peaks when I was in the 9th grade because it was on Netflix and I was immediately in love with it. For whatever reason, I never watched FWWM or season 3 though. A couple months back I was at a video game store where I saw the dvd there and immediately bought it but still never gave it a watch??
FWWM is a prequel to Twin Peaks and seeing Laura's life is so ??? Idk I think the best word I have to describe the movie is visceral. It's gorgous and sad and genuinely terrifying at some points. I loved it, I'm also a little glad I didn't watch it when I was 14. But man what I'd give to watch Twin Peaks for the first time again. Movie was a 10/10 for me, might actually watch the Return sometime soon but I'm a little scared I won't like it. We'll see
