Welcome to my awesome blog, I'm enjoying glam metal (again) so I decided to make a list!
I sectioned everything into how popular or obscure they are! I hope you check out some of these bands
For popularity I just went off of how many monthly listeners the band has currently.

The song playing in the background is "Stranger" by Holy Soldier.

Some bands I think are more hard rock but are still in the glam metal environment:
- I think Guns N' Roses belongs more into hard rock, were they in the hair metal environment? Hell yeah! They literally opened for Mötley Crüe in 87'. (I kind of only added them because of Appetite For Destruction)
- I thought about putting Led Zeppelin in this list but decided against it, they were one of the bands that influenced the glam metal scene but I don't think they were actually ever considered glam metal.
- I think the same could be said for Van Halen (like Led Zeppelin), they made the way for glam metal and were one of the bands that were quite literally essential to the creation of the genre. They do pre-date glam metal but I still wanted to include them here since without VH I feel like the glam metal scene wouldn't have existed, or wouldn't have gotten as big as it did in the 80s.
There's also bands like:
Krokus and Extreme are two bands I put in this list that ''used'' to have the glam metal sound, but I'd like to make it clear that it's mostly their earlier stuff that classify as glam metal.

Uh, here's another one. Before Lit turned into a pop-punk band, its first incarnation was a glam act called Razzle.
They released an EP called Insuborditanion Generation.

Then in 1996, they changed their name to Lit and became a pop-punk band instead.

Okay! Also, Pantera released a few glam albums before switching to groove metal with Cowboys from Hell.

Yeah, I've heard about that! It still feels like a fever dream whenever I see those old pictures of Pantera when they were a glam band.
