cwissmas + recent happenings

Hello friends! I hope all of you had a great Christmas. I had a very nice day; I got a new laptop and it runs very well. I am very grateful to have it, and hopefully my possession of it will make me at least a bit more productive now that I'm not mooching off my mother's things and constantly keeping her computer from her. I also went to a very fun holiday party on Xmas eve, got embarrassingly drunk, and had to hide in my friend's room to prevent from making a fool of myself in front of everyone due to my consumption of three whole spiked hot chocolates. (If you would like to parrot my bad decisions and make one, it's just hot chocolate mixed with a plethora of festive alcohol-- Rum Chata, Bailey's Irish cream, Peppermint Schnapp's, and Whiskey.)

School and my introduction into the working work is going exceptionally well. I recently was able to pick up a shift at the hospital in my area and it was a very fulfilling experience. I was in the stroke unit and got to see a guy get a catheter put in. O_O Looked painful. Did you guys know certain catheters (i.e foley, the one we used) are actually meant for long term use-- they put a literal balloon inside of you meant to collect piss... I hope I am never in need of one of those.

That's about all from me for right now. Have a very happy holiday season, and a pleasant New Year's as it approaches horrifyingly quickly. I want to extend a pleasant acknowledgment to all my lovely friends I spent time with this year, and everyone new I met. You are all awesome. :-) <3
