TUTORIAL ON HOMEMADE DVD??☻

OKAY!! Seriously been trying to figure out how to make a homemade DVD. I saw a tutorial on how to do so, but I'm so major confused >.<! 

I downloaded this app called DVD Styler... & I burned it on a CD+RW I think?? I had already made the DVD menu & etc., just waiting for burning on a CD. I burned the DVD formats & what not onto the CD. But it won't play on my mom DVD player & on my husband PS2. I was scrambling around what I should do... SO I gave up. I wanted to make it for my grandma in memories of her husband/my grandpa who has passed on for a 2 years now. I was also hoping I can give it to her as a Christmas present but... that's passed >.>. I told my husband about it & he thinks if I can do it in time to make it work then I can give it to her on New Years Eve or day. 

Which I have been trying to do... just no luck. SO if u know or know someone that can help me?? I owe u my friendship {:
