DISCWORLD FANS RISE (ARSE) UP HIGH

terry pratchett's discworld is the best series ever and i need more discfriends!!

if youve read discworld, even just a few of them, or one of them, lets talk about it plsss. i want to know your favorite character(s), plot(s), etc!!!

death, sam vimes, tiffany aching, lord vetinari, sybil vimes, nobby nobbs, granny weatherwax, angua von uberwald, rincewind, carrot ironfoundersson, moist von lipwig, susan sto helit, adora belle dearheart, agnes/perdita nitt... well what can i say? he was such a good writer, its hard not to really love all of the main characters

my favorite subseries have to be the city watch and tiffany aching. i also really love the death series, the industrial revolution, and the witches and wizards ones. so thats basically all of the books but AGAIN! pratchett really was such an amazing storyteller. i havent disliked a single discworld novel

my bf has been reading them to me from the beginning, since the start of 2024. we wont finish before 2025, but we're so close!! we're maybe half way through raising steam and then we only have the shepherd's crown left ToT

i dont know what i'll even DO with myself when we're all done... it's going to be so sad, i think. yknow, i fully support artists destroying their unfinished works before they die/having them destoryed after they die, the way pratchett did... but im heartbroken that he died so young. he had so many more stories to tell and we'll never know what other off the wall ideas he had and was preparing to write
