So somehow I haven't done a post like this, so I figured with my new additions I'd show of my synth setup!
1. Arturia MiniBrute 2 - this was my first synthesizer in this setup. I used to use it for everything I did, but it's a rather limited synth since it's monophonic (can only produce one note at a time), so recording using it was rather labourious. Now I use it as a bass synth and I run it through an overdrive pedal for extra crunch (the green pedal on top of it).
2. Behringer RD-6 - This is my drum machine. I used to use a KORG Volca Drum but I have since sold it. There's not much to it besides it makes drum sounds.
3. Arturia BeatStep Pro - This is my hardware sequencer, it's how I make my drum machine and the MiniBrute 2 play, rather than actually playing out basslines whilst doing other things.
4. Behringer Pro-800 - This is my polyphonic synth, meaning it can play more than one note at a time (unlike the MiniBrute 2). I use it for chords and lead lines, depending on the song. It also has preset saving which is very handy (my MiniBrute 2 and Poly-D do not have this, every time I want a new sound I have to dial it in manually).
5. Behringer Poly-D - This is a clone of the famed Moog MiniMoog Model D from the 1970s. However this clone has more features, such as built-in chorus and distortion effects, a sequencer (rather difficult to use in my opinion), and paraphonic capabilities (poor man's polyphony). I use it as a controller for the Behringer Pro-800 because I don't have another MIDI controller ('cos that's extra money!). I used to use it as a lead synth but not much anymore. Eventually I'll get a controller keyboard to replace it and it'll be put in storage or maybe sold.
I hope y'all enjoyed this look into my setup!
