so i've spent my gap year so far trying out different hobbies (not even kidding, every other week i've tried something new...i feel like trish from austin & ally) and whilst it's been very fun...i've fallen into an abyss of absolute boredom where i cannot bother to finish my crochet projects or minecraft building...sigh

anyways, i decided it's been ages since i've watched a long tv series...the last one being gossip girl (i did drop it after season 5 cuz the quality drop was outrageous) but that was nearly a year ago, i want something new, something i have never heard of.

i woke up this morning (after experiencing the most insane dream ever, we don't need to get into that) and it was like tiktok heard my prayers, as an edit of a tv series i have never heard of or even seen before showed up of clark kent in smallville & i didn't pay much attention to it as i was in the middle of doomscrolling (my favourite morning activity) and assumed it was some niche 2000s show that no one really knows...that was until i saw the comments and it seemed like everyone and their mother knew about it so i googled and it turns out it was actually super popular but mainly in america which makes sense as to why i've never heard of it.

i did some small research, found out it had 10 seasons and instantly knew it would be worth bingewatching and that i would probably be surprised on what lore could be in the show as i've never been much of a DC watcher, all i know about superman is that he can't have kryptonite and that him and batman had beef and fought or something like that... so it'll be interesting to watch and understand clark kent/superman from a coming of age perspective.

i don't really have many expectations, but i am curious on how much things could've happened for it to be running for 10 years ... a whole decade - i haven't watched a tv series with over 4 seasons so this'll be a fun experience...or a waste of time, i have no idea.

i'll probably post it on here per season, so stay tuned for that i guess...not quite sure if there's a smallville fandom here but then again this place is filled with niche fandoms...if smallville is a niche tv show - i still dont really know...
