How I (semi) wish i was a teen in early 2000's emo culture

Admittedly, wondering about what it would've been like to be a teen in the 2000's has been something i've daydreamt about ALOT, even before I was even into the stuff i'm into now. 

Stupidly enough I think it started when I wanted Turning Red when it first came out, seeing kids my age that didn't have everything imaginable accessible through a multipurpose slim rectangular device and instead forms of technology that actually function for one thing fascinated me in some way. (Turning Red also made me really want a Tamagotchi) 

Slowly all of this fascinated has slowly seeped further and further into my brain, and I think its reached its peak this year. I've loved my digicam for a long time considering I've had it for at least 5 years now, I love the aesthetical value of each photo and video i take on it, it makes a memory feel like a memory. For a little while now I've wanted a CD player. I used to have one when i was a kid but i took it for granted. BUT!! today I was going through the closets at my Grandparent's house to retrieve my shirts, but i noticed a little portable CD player on the floor, so i asked if it was being used or broken and it was a no so i snagged it!! (with permission). So I can't wait to collect more CD's now with something to actually play it on, I have a Californication CD so i'm definitely listening to it on my roadtrip soon ^3^. I also wanna burn some CDS to make my own mixes and such. 

Anyways but, aside from all that as much as I'm a little glad it feels more of an individual thing to be interested in technology like this, I wish it was the "norm" like it was in the early 2000's along with Spacehey and whatnot!! Can everybody's phone just explode pls??? 

Of course there's alot of contradictions to some of these perspectives but its just how part of me feels.
