Daddy issues?

Hi guys, so recently my friends have been telling me that I need to stop obsessing over guys and especially older guys. I told them I can't help it and that they're just celebrity crushes, and they go, "Yeah, sure," and I'm like, "What?" so basically I'm being lowkey slut-shamed (I love my friends, and they love me, btw) 

My parents got divorced when I was 6, so it's almost 10 years ago, and I live 12/14 days with my mom and then 2/14 with my dad. It's been like that since they got divorced, and he lives about half an hour away and that obviously means I don't see my dad very often... :(

I love my dad; he's great and all, but sometimes we don't get along that well, and due to his "absence" in my life, my friend suggested that maybe I have daddy issues because she thinks I search for validation in other guys, hence the obsession with guys (especially the older ones).

Now I would date him if a friggin 40 y/o man came up to me in real life. I would run away screaming, actually, but the thought of having a guy who's a little bit older who's acting kind of fatherly towards me in a relationship honestly seems pretty nice to me. Obvi not in a pedo way, but you guys know what I mean. Like protective and stuff like that, right? Yeah.

One of my friends also told me I was submissive, like totally out of context, but yeah, idk.

I honestly don't know, and I was hoping one of you guys knows anything.
