12/24/24 - a good day

Hey queens, im gonna tell you about my day!

I am spending a couple of days at home for the holidays. This morning, i woke up around 11 which was very nice because I wont get to sleep in at all next semester. I changed into a fresh set of christmas pjs and went downstairs. For breakfast, my mom made some chocolate chip muffins from scratch using her sourdough starter (her latest obsession but hey, im not complaining). Then my parents went out for the day. I was invited to tag along but i really just wanted to stay home with the dogs today. I had a dog up on the couch with me and a dog right at my feet for a good chunk of afternoon. 

After a while, i realized i was doom scrolling, so the dogs and i went outside for a bit. I drug a chair out into the yard and sat out in the sun while one dog was gnawing on a stick and the other one was stalking our neighbors. He loves to just sit and watch. Typically there is no one for him to watch, so he just stares at an otherwise empty house. Its equally funny and scary. 

We came back inside after a bit of sunbathing and the dogs and I went upstairs to my room. I wanted to go through some of the things in my closet to see what i could find. I found photo booth pictures, my art sketchbook from freshman year, and all of my playbills. Then I went over to my bookshelf to put the pictures on display when all of a sudden i see a copy of wicked on the bottom shelf! Who was gonna tell me i had this?!?! I open it up to a page thats got a bookmark in it that I remember making in highschool, meaning this poor book havent been cracked open in 4-5 years. So I grabbed her, dusted her off, and began reading. So far its really good! 

After reading a bit, my parents came back. I made a batch of christmas crack and put it in the fridge to cool. My mom then began a batch of her grandmas christmas cookies. Now the house smells amazing! For dinner, we are going to have tomato dill soup with grilled cheeses on homemade sourdough bread (a la my mom). 

Now I am back upstairs in my room reading some more! I hope you all have had as good of a day as ive had <3
