questioning the world

i was on my way home from work thinking abt something i have read a few years ago about somebody saying that there is no "normal amount of suicidal thoughts"" & now i'm wondering if this is actually true. is there really someone out there who hasn't thought about ending it once in their life?? is everyone who has suicidal thoughts immediately mentally ill??

well,, normalcy is relative, so i don't know what's normal without seeing survey results or something.. but i think there are a lot of levels here to consider. You can think about killing yourself without desiring to do it, you can think about dying without thinking about specifically killing yourself. mental illness is a construct but i don't think that thinking about this means you're unhealthy; i had a phase where i did happen to be unhealthy and suicidal but i was also heavily philosophical and really developed my ideas on suicide and autonomy, it was fun.. it's a complex thing. i wouldn't worry about the topics you think about so much as how you feel and behave

Not really. having suicidal thoughts & mental illness is not very related but is, I feel. Like bfr also I had suicidal thoughts but when I really felt suicidal that feeling & thoughts were really diff than bfr. & Yeah that mental health leads to suicidal thoughts or πŸ’ get into stages of mental illness. Either u die or living half dead/in survival mode. This is what is gonna happen to that suicidal thoughts...! (& Sometimes having those thoughts also normal). It's either u die or survive!! Choice is ours!!
