People
If the world is my sky, then the people are my stars. Occasionally they make a beautiful constellation.
If inquired about what my friends mean to me I call them the stars in my personal sky. Each human with the capability to love and grow and learn and display compassion and kindness.
The state of the world and society challenges that, but to see someone break through that in a little pocket of expression: that is truly beautiful to me and inspires me to give back that same energy.
I'd like to be that for people albeit immensely difficult sometimes.
To keep in mind that we are all simultaneously so small and ever-changing would be something that would pose to my benefit.
Places
Places are alive. Places are affected by the interactions or lack thereof. Take an abandoned building perhaps, shelter to some, novelty to others, some may hold the location in deep regard due to fond memories.
To demolish that is complete erasure of all those identities. Could factor into why it makes me sad.
If a tree falls does it make a sound? Absolutely. Even if everything around to hear is mute then they are still effected by those tiniest vibrations.
The universe gets to hear itself
Things
Things have souls. I'm convinced of it. something similar to yōkai. If I give an item love does that not make it a representation of love? Things of value. First car, a child's stuffie, an old shirt that anyone who knows you can see plastered on you with their mind's eye, outdated dusty media displaying devices. I wonder how it would feel to be used for your express purpose. Would my owner take care of me? Or toss me?
I suppose in certain circumstances that would depend on how well I complete my function.
