deciding to study korean

so after about 11 years ive decided to finally study korean.

a part of me wishes i had done this years ago, but the other more rational part of me knows that this is the perfect time. ive already accomplished my goals and am intermediate in my other languages.

i can finally pursue this dream of being able to engage with korean content without any barriers.

my first step was registering for a course as an absolute beginner to really make sure my foundation in grammar is solid. there is so much korean knowledge already in my brain so i just need to piece everything together.

my ultimate dream would be to read korean novels. every time i see an amazing recommendation for a korean novel thats right up my alley but not translated, a part of me diiiiieeeesss.

i also somehow have already made a friend? she is in the same boat as me, in our 30s learning new languages for the first time. its so hard but hopefully we can stick with it and in 2 years maybe we can have fully fledged convos xD
