DIY Ideas!!

Fashion should be: convenient, durable, sensory friendly, comfortable, low-budget, environmentally-friendly, socially contributive, etc. I stand by DIY, recycle, reuse, instead of... fast fashion - there is little human value, respect for earth, nutrition for human soul whatsoever in these consumerist, mass manufactured crap. I also think that it is awesome to be able to tell a story about every accessory you wear!

Prequel to DIY - idea pool

Things I hate about wearing anything ever:

  • how necklaces put weight on the back of your neck
  • itchy choking chokers
  • wipeable makeup,
  • lace code, handkerchief code
  • sagging pants, FALLING OFF PATCHES (LMFAO?)
  • "cleancore"
  • CHONKINESS

Patch sewing (bought & handmade)

First I thought to finish sewing patches on my battle vest, then pick out durable ones for pants; because they get easily dirty (washed more times), and i'm too lazy to handwash but can't bare the idea of ruining my bought patches. Change of idea! I'll sew on some <b>handmade patches - made of jean scraps and fabric paint, cut out of my pants to make room for my ankle cast. I tested the fabric paint, which works wonders, hopefully on jeans too! Machine washed "Deny, defend, depose" bullet pattern on my sweater (mostly cotton) and 98% stayed on!! So, I chose handmade patches over bought ones (Ebay for me, or directly out of someone else's collection), to increase its durability in practice!

Just a disclaimer that I'm not a crust punk, these are just patch pants and part of a creative process :) ! I like to make things durable, sensory friendly because I don't want my things falling to pieces in public. waste of time and resources. The patch designs should be of bands, symbols, slogan, small designs! Note to not include political ideas at the back side of your clothes - don't want to be backstabbed by a bonehead :/. Here is the idea pool.

Hot glue chokers onto battle vest, (tabs?) bleach pants, or sweater; DIY bracelets, hats; put stickers on my headphones
