professional shitter in healthcare

You know how there are sitters for healthcare facilities, usually for those at risk of suicide and/or falling? Well, they need to introduce shitters and pay them a bit extra. So when the other CNAs are passing out trays to patients/residents during meal times, the shitters can go answer call lights.

Most of the time the call lights are for bathroom requests… Some residents just need help getting to the bathroom; others have briefs that will need to be changed.  Funny how CNAs in training are taught to refer to adult diapers as “briefs” but when you use the words to most residents they’ll go like, “HUH?!” “Change my diaper!”

I am SO down to being a CNA. Many of my coworkers complain about the smell for general reason but that’s where my time comes to shine. Me nose sensors are shot. I can’t smell anything.

I’d totally be up to help residents when their nature is calling. In fact, when I get certified maybe I’ll offer to do the task of assisting residents during meal times. I won’t ask for extra money or anything ofc

I don’t get squeamish easily. Honestly, feeding residents is what’s going to get me. We have some messy eaters in my facility, bless their hearts! Oh and washing hair is also what I’m worried about. But I’ll pull through!
