omfg. i hate it when i'm just trying to get into more scene bands & discover smaller artists. i'm scrolling thru playlists right, i find a playlist called "tiktok scene playlist".. the fuck r u babbling about dude.. the likes of odetari, 6arelyhuman, & wtv else aren't scene just bc their lyrics or sometimes even whole songs r dedicated to talking about "pretty scene sluts".. it's literally just fetishization. like dawg. this literally equates to a tx2 song talking abt "goth dommy mommies" or sum shit, except this is just better hidden because it's kind of a lesser known example. like, literally ask one 'scenecore' music fan to name 5 scene or 2000s post-hardcore/metalcore bands (last 2 examples cuz a majority of earlier scenies listened to those genres & they were both foundational to the subculture). I HATE MY MODERN SCENE KID LIFE!11!!!!11

omg yes!! not to be the genre police but.. people thinking scenecore and scene are the same its so EW! like.. 6arelyhuman, odetari and most scenecore artist just talk about romantizising sh and death, like if the scene culture had ANYTHING to do with that!! most poser kids are annoying,, but scenecore just crosses the line. we need to talk more about real scene culture!!1

I'm not even scene and I understand your pain so much. People need to realize that different some different subcultures and styles are wayyy more than just thinking a style looks pretty and wanting to dress a certain way, there's a whole musical and political part to being alternative too
