LABELS >:(

I have been trying to spread word about how dumb labels are (IMO), and I just wanted to come here to yap about it so!!

I’m a girl, and I am in a relationship with a girl. Even though I know I like a girl I refuse to call myself a “lesbian” or any kind of sexuality. Because what if I ever start liking a boy. I don’t hope I do because I want to love my gf forever, but you get it. As soon as you put a label on yourself that basically puts you into a corner, and if you wanna go to another corner there’s a fence blocking you, because you choose to stand in a specific corner. That fence is just the people you talk to, or even your own mind; “why do I like a boy, I’m a lesbian!”. And now I do get where labels come from, because you gotta be able to refer to something. And if this were to change it’d change a bit part of the world. Though I still think we should get rid of SOCIAL labels. Putting a chair in the corner of a chair isn’t bad. Just not with people. A lot of people put themselves into corners so they know who they are, or another reason. I find that sad to see, because you are more than what you identify as. And I really do get it when people make their whole personality being gay, but I just think that they have to get to know themselves, even if it’s uncomfortable. That’s hard. I don’t know who I am either, but I know I am a lot. I won’t say I’m something, because, maybe that’s not what I am.
