I'd say if you're looking for a wacky and nonsensical anime movie with a strong message Paprika is my go to (it's also my fav!!) Also the garden of words is another good film (although it's short) even though it can seem a little weird at times.

i totes recommend hxh for anime! its got a good balance of light and dark themes imo :33 another shorter anime i like is kamisama kiss! (if ur into romances)
