Went to an artcon today (With pics!)

First blog. Better make it good.

Went to an art con today, one of the famous one in my city, since I just moved here like few months ago, this is my first con I went to in this city.

First difference I noticed already compared to the art con on the capital city that I usually go to, this art con focuses more on original works rather than fandom merchandise, there are fanmerch here and there but original stuff are more pops out and tbh I think it's a cool thing because I just LOVE looking at what an artist mind can create.

Anyway, went there with a scene fit, or at least tried, I dont have a lot of scene clothing yet so I just do what I can, but at least I got a Domo sling bag... i think it's one of my best scene related stuff I had so far.

Soouu I went there with my friends, there's 5 of us and NONE of ushas been to this con yet, so we're kinda nervous. But once we got there It's actually really chill. Not as crowded as the con we usually go to in the capital city, we can walk a bit more freely which is awesum

we decided to divide our groups and went to diff places, mostly people there sell original comics, some were more popular than the other, its actually lovely to see Indonesian comic industry thriving this good, because each booth has different comics to offer. Though I dont buy a lot of comics, just one, I went there in a budget, most things I bought there are stickers hhah

my main mission to go to this con is to commission buncha artists to draw stuff, at first I wanna troll and make them all draw skibidi toiler, but considering I'm in a budget, I better use my money for good use for now.

So there is this one booth of an Indonesian Kids Cartoon called "Desa Timun" (Cucumber Village), Gotta be one of my favorite kids cartoon because it is made with shadow puppets, its really neat IMO. few months ago the creator of the cartoon went to my college and we did some activities, I was pretty active, interacting with him and asking him question and stuff, which probably makes him remember my face when he sees me again in that con, my and my friends decided to take pic with the creator, its insane to know he remembers my face hhhh 

and also there's a space on his booth for people to draw stuff and have it stick on the booth's wall, the main theme is 2 mountains and a rice field, which is a common way how Indonesian kids draw... and I decided to put my own takes on it :p

Anyway it was a fun event, it was chill and fun, I event talk with some new people there, it was indeed cool.

This is my loot in one day, lets just say I spend more than I should, but hey its called artist supporting artist

I told myself to limit myself to buy 2 commissions... i ended up getting 4.... at least my OCs looks cool as hell-

and also few of these merch are made by my senior at college, he's a really cool guy too
