Disturbing new law passes in Ohio thanks to trolls calling 911

Sorry for all the embeds below but I talked about this yesterday on bluesky and the cold winter months just suck a ton of my energy right out. Having MS isn't fun. My opinions haven't really changed in the past 24 hours either. This is a fucked up law that was snuck in at the very last second and we have kiwifarms trolls to thank for not only wasting the tax dollars of Akron, Ohio citizens but also giving the police an excuse to make holding them accountable more difficult. 

There's a new law in Ohio that passed today without debate or full due process that makes it more difficult for the public to access police bodycam. This article on it makes several allusions to Cyraxx and his trolls. This is bad and you shouldn't ignore it #News www.cleveland.com/metro/2024/1...

It's worth mentioning that one of the officers who was called to the Wilkins house was caught with CP. Several officers have also indicated that they watch Marty's streams. They are using the "wasting our time and money" rhetoric to cover up police corruption. Don't let them get away with it.

The way this was passed was unconstitutional and should not become a precedent that other states follow. The public already pays for police funding via taxes, we have a right to see where that money goes and what they're doing with it. We should not be subject to a $75 fee for bodycam footage.

If anyone asks about Cyraxx I can do my best to edit this with an elaboration but before you ask: no, I'm not referring to a Mortal Kombat character. This is a real person that many have described as a lolcow, I would personally describe him as racist and disgusting, but whatever. It really sucks that fucking kiwifarmers of all people are the reason oppressive legislation like this is being passed.
