BOOK REVIEWS!
As someone who used to be able to read 1-2 books that are at least 400 pages long in a month, growing up made me lose the habit and consistency - something I'm not that proud to admit - and I'd like to challenge myself again to read widely and as much as possible now that I'm a teenager.
In the midst of adolescent thrills and the general buzz and hum of being seventeen, I think reading will always be my solace, even if I haven't picked up the pace I was used to in the past. This space is for me to get back to reading regularly, and giving my two cents on whatever piece I'm reading, should it pique your curiosity!
This month, (and January, to be honest) I'll be conquering:
A Tale for the Time Being - Ruth Ozeki.
To be completely honest, I've cheated a little - this beautiful book was given to me by my uncle, who shares the same love of whimsical tales and fantastical-adventures-still-grounded-in-reality type of books as I do. I've started on it, long, loooooooong ago, and as with most of my attempts at consistent reading, left it on my table one day and watched as it gathered up a sizeable amount of dust.
Nevertheless, I'll start it again from the beginning, and hopefully finish it by the end of January. It is a spectacular book (at least the measly number of pages that I've read) and I can't wait to finish it and give my thoughts!
Thank you for reading (if you have) thus far! Wish me luck, and by God's will I'll update by the end of January with a new entry of this magical book.
X,
Wandy!
