my dad LOVES Chappell Roan

Ok let me preface this with a little background on my dad. He grew up in the middle of nowhere, in the mountains tennesse and has somehow managed to dodge the republican agenda his whole life. He is a progressive and well rounded man. His taste in music is pretty vast. He loves the White Stripes, Johnny Cash, Bluegrass, and loves Willies Roadhouse. He’s not much of a pop and modern country fan. However, he loves some cunty ass artists of our generation. I recently found out he also loves laufey hehe. He likes listening to NPR and other radio shows about music, some pop culture, and just general boring (ish) podcast stuff. He also likes to peruse the internet on his ipad looking at some buzz feed articles and snl clips. But back to the story…

I introduced him to Chappell Roan awhile back and he immediately liked her. I really only showed him pink pony club, good luck babe, and red wine supernova cause some of the others i did not really want to listen alongside my dad if you know what i mean. Whenever we drive together, I hook my phone up to the aux to play and I always play some of her songs. Today I decided to show him the cover her and sabrina did of last christmas, subway, and the giver (i bit the bullet with this one cause i knew he’d like it). He loved how unique her voice sounded in last christmas and told me of another artist that had a unique voice that reminded him of her. He liked the vibe of subway, and he loved the giver. He loves her drag outfits and was all for the country-ness of her outfit and song. Then after, we listened to red wine supernova, AND HE WAS SINGING ALONG WITH ME! Ugh when i tell you i love this man so much, i mean it! He’s pretty cool!
