Tron's Takes - About TronNerd82 (me)

So, I've realized that I've had a constant web presence on various sites for over 3 years now (when I actually decided to start making accounts for stuff), yet I've never made any posts on any sites introducing myself and talking in-depth about my interests and stuff. Let's change that today, shall we?

INTRODUCTION

My name is TronNerd82 (not my actual name but I ain't telling anyone that for a long time). I'm a cis dude, am pansexual, and (kinda obviously) go by he/him pronouns. I am also formally diagnosed with high-functioning autism. I was also diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome back when that was considered a valid diagnosis. Since 2013, however, it's been considered part of the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) umbrella.
I've been an avid Linux user since 2019, where I started with Ubuntu, before moving on to Raspberry Pi OS, Debian, and eventually settled on Slackware (while I alternate between Debian and CRUX as my secondary distro).
My interests include, but are not solely limited to:
  • Free and open-source software (namely Linux and BSD)
  • Metal music
  • Cats
  • Comic books
  • SpongeBob
  • Computer hardware (especially RISC stuff, for some reason. Just kinda appealing.)
  • The winter season
  • Alaska (I used to live there for about 10 years, and wanna go back someday)
  • Filthy Frank
  • Guns (namely anything one might consider an "assault rifle")
  • Video games (especially retro games, PS3 and earlier)
  • Memes

POLITICAL LEANINGS

For the most part, I'm very left-wing in regards to things like social policy and human rights, though I am a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Economically I don't really give a shit one way or another, but ideally I like the thought of a free market without tariffs, embargoes, or anything else like that.
If you ask me what my opinions are regarding trans rights, you'll get an earful. I'm extremely in favor of the right for trans people to seek medical care, participate in sports (though I would argue it best to hold off from joining the league of your preferred gender until you've been transitioning long enough for the hormones of your birth sex to be flushed out of your system, so as not to be at any hormonal advantage or disadvantage), marry, and engage in all aspects of normal life that cis people have had the privilege to engage in.

Ultimately, everyone should be able to exist comfortably without fear of discrimination, unless they themselves are the discriminators.
There's no "straight/white genocide," you're just being a baby.

HOW TO CONTACT ME

If for whatever reason, you wish to contact me, I am available on a variety of platforms big and small.

Obviously, I'm here on SpaceHey, you know how to find me here if you're reading this.

I'm on Mastodon (mastodon.social/@TronNerd82), Lemmy (lemmy.ml/u/TronNerd82), Friendica (tronnerd82@friendica.world), Funnyjunk (funnyjunk.com/user/xxtronnerdxx (requires a Funnyjunk account to view)), Reddit (reddit.com/u/TronNerd82 (I so rarely check Reddit anymore that you may as well skip trying to contact me there)), Discord (username is tronnerd82), XMPP (tronnerd82@yax.im), Matrix (@tronnerd82:matrix.org), and GNUnet Messenger (000G003DMYMAEQT69SZV3F3RD3BNCCTR3SGFABXPM7SKKHAA7974934NXW).
I can also be found on Usenet, again under the username TronNerd82. In addition, I can be found on RAMBLE, which is an I2P eepsite (same username as ever), as well as various forums, including LinuxQuestions, NeoGAF, 68kMLA, ValiantFans, and probably some more (same username). I can be found on Sone, a Twitter clone over Freenet/Hypanet (same username).

Finally, I can be found on Slashdot, which is the first site I ever made an account for (though I haven't commented on it in months, and probably won't comment much at all, so like Reddit, you'll probably wanna skip contacting me on Slashdot).

CONCLUSION

Hopefully you got to know me a little better. See ya.
