Diary - 02

I got another email telling me about getting into the only other college I applied to. Problem is, I kinda set my mind on going to the first one that accepted me. Besides, they were way more enthusiastic to tell me about my acceptance this one had no fan fare whatsoever. Had to check my email!!! At least they have the courtesy to send me a physical acceptance in a few weeks so there's that. I don't know it's weird knowing that I'm finally at the finish line with community college and I'm on the next step of the grand game of life.

I rewatched The Karate Kid. That film kind of snuck into my heart. I used to think nothing of it, it was something I was vaguely aware of back in elementary school when you kind of knew but didn't really know things like 80s pop culture or James Dean but hey that might just be me. Daniel and Mr Miyagi really are the heart of the movie, if they cast anybody else that wasn't Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita it would've stumbled for sure. Also makes me more irritated about the direction the show Cobra Kai has gone in later seasons. It's like the writers have selective memory or something!

Anyway, I still have to find gifts for my folks. I've been pushing it back because I'm the world's worst gift giver, if you don't tell me directly what you want then I'm left drowning lol. Maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day.
