honestly i've never been too into watching movies but i figured i should start.. any recommendations? i don't have any genre preferences tbh. just suggest your favs!

Maybe you have seen some of these but for starters, you can check out Scream, The Craft, Saw, Halloween, or even Terrifier for horror. Some coming of ages films I enjoy are Trainspotting, Dazed and Confused, Lords of Dogtown, Eternal Sunshine, and 500 Days of Summer. For any drama and action, check out Fight Club and/or The Matrix.
