Linkedin

I thought I hated facebook, but I hate Linkedin more.

I am not much of a social media person, in fact this is the only "social media" I have and even then I really only blog random thoughts and experiences, but man did I hate looking at Linkedin.

There was a time where facebook was the go to for all my friends, it was especially popular outside of America, and so sometimes I used it, and I suppose it was fun before all the ads and the new "Ask Meta" thing was added, but I still hated it.

Instagram I also didn't like, I just never got into it. 2016 Instagram was a wonderful thing, I hate all the new updates apps get. I don't like the new minimalist designs everyone seems to enjoy, I like things colorful and with personality.

Linkedin was like Facebook, but so professional is made me gag. I get it, and I am glad to see budding university students get good jobs in their fields, but I still hated it. I keep getting asked to make one, for work and all that, but I never do and I have decided I won't.

No Linkedin for me, a resume will do lol

LinkedIn is broken and useless at this point because it has been flooded with so many AI accounts and many millions of tech professionals from certain countries. Very many of groups and organizations there are either MLMs or sinecures given to cronies.
As far as actual job searches go, it is actually far better than Indeed because employers do have to pass certain verification standards to be allowed to post in the first place. However, I'm mainly talking about low-wage entry jobs. The highly-paid professional kinds that LinkedIn was meant for are iffy because it's difficult to tell how serious the employer is, especially since there are no penalties for posting ghost jobs and a lot of the real openings are set aside for cronies and not meant to be merit-based.
